We are approaching the tail end of the October Caddis hatch. Despite the hatch tailing off, fish have been consuming ascending pupa for a long time. Because they have been accustomed to feeding on pupa for a good while, they still will readily take October Caddis pupa for weeks to come. Once things really cool off, the fish will be much more hesitant to rise to a dry. The only exception is the large BWO hatches that will begin with our coming overcast, rainy days.
