Teaching my 10 year old son Olympic Weightlifting Today we moved to hang above the knee. We have done drills from the waist and both muscle snatch and power snatch from the waist - So now we are progressing down and learning to transition up the thigh from hang - because this is a new position for Coops , we just focus on a muscle snatch (as it’s less complex, and he does have to add feet and receiving the barbell) and it gives him some success without being overwhelmed with cues and movements.
